College is important because it is a stepping stone to the education that will lead a person to the jobs that will support them financially for the rest of there lives. It is an institution to higher learning and will provide great learning experiences that will further a person's education much more than high school possibly could. In today's economy it is important to have a college education mainly because a high school diploma doesn't give anyone job opportunities anymore. If one wants to survive in today's economy they must have a college education.

The world in which is live is a competitive one, not only competitive but a world that lacks in virtue. As a student and as a Full-time worker, i want to do my part in making the world a better place and providing for my family.

College is important to the youth of today because universities, in general, are on the cutting edge of progressive debate and research. While many sectors of the world are slow to awaken to current social and environmental realities, universities are taking the lead in both academic inquiry and activism, on a range of social and environmental justice topics.
Higher education serves as a place of maturation for my own environment-based beliefs, commitments and actions. College nurtures the theories behind my practices of a bike-only lifestyle, local, organic and second-hand purchases, as well as conscientious water and electricity consumption.

Most jobs require at least some post high school education. It is almost necessary to get some college education in order to even compete in the job market.

College also helps teach young people how to show respect and learn good time management. Young people also receive a second chance in college; even if they struggled in high school, they have a chance to start over and succeed academically at a community college. It is important because in order to get a job and be paid enough for today's society, a young person must have a great amount of education in order to appear better than the rest of the people who are trying to get the job.
